Our 13 year old went straight from our beach week
with two of his amazing grandparents to Alabama.
(bless them for braving the long drive and the incredible heat!)

He qualified to play in the Future Masters golf tournament in Dothan, Alabama.
Unfortunately his practice round was the best round he had while there...a 72.
He battled the heat, a weather delay and over 100 other boys in his age group.
He was disappointed in his scores but he won with the way he handled it
and after all, that's the the hardest thing to overcome.
He came home with a new head cover, new golf towel, a few other goods
but most of all he came home with a head and heart full of great memories with his grandparents
and a determination to play better and try it again next time!
More tournaments on the horizon and at least he knows he is loved no matter the score.
xo,
Caroline

These life lessons will last so much longer than the shine on any trophy. Way to go Mom & Dad!
